Equipment

The association  has a range of beekeeping, honey and wax extraction and display equipment some of which is available for loan to members. Please return this equipment in the condition you received it in (or better) as quickly as possible as there can be quite heavy demand on honey and wax extraction equipment in season.

There are a range of books are available for loan from the CBKA Library.

Apiary

The association has an apiary at  Newham Grange Leisure Farm, Wykeham Way, Coulby Newham Middlesbrough, TS8 0TG . Members wishing to use the association apiary or take part in the instructional sessions held there should contact the apiary manager. 

The Apiary also produces a small number of nucleuses for members to purchase - if you would like to be on the list for one of these,  please contact the apiary manager.

Members who have spare nucleuses to sell can also contact the apiary manager who will put them in contact with people on the list above.

 

Heather Site

The association has the permission of Mr. Martin at Wayworth Farm Commondale, YO21 2HT to place members hives on his farm to collect heather honey. Please contact Unal Metti 01642 786243 before taking you hives to the site and ensure that each hive has your contact details on the outside. There is a small fee (minimum one jar of honey per hive) to Mr Martin at the farm.
